VISION

Vision is a general formulation of the desired state at the end of the regional development planning period. The regional development vision is the vision of the elected regional head and deputy regional head which is conveyed at the time of the regional head election and becomes the direction of development of East Kutai Regency. The Research and Development Agency of East Kutai Regency implements the vision of the regional head and deputy regional head for 2021-2026, namely "ORGANIZE EAST KUTAI PROSPEROUS FOR ALL" The meaning of the vision above is:

1. Prosperous East Kutai is a condition where the people of East Kutai are in good condition, prosperous, healthy, peaceful and can access all basic service infrastructure
2. Organizing for All is a condition where the people of East Kutai have good governance, so that positive and more productive changes (continuous improvement) are created in managing resources to improve the standard of living of all levels of society

MISSION

The mission is a general formulation of the efforts that will be implemented to realize the vision. A good mission formulation helps to more clearly describe the vision to be achieved, and outlines what efforts must be made. In a planning document, the formulation of the mission is important to provide a framework for the goals and objectives to be achieved, and determine the path to be taken to achieve the vision. To realize the vision of the development of East Kutai Regency in 2021-2026, the following regional development missions were determined:

1. Realizing a Society with Noble Morals, Culture and Unity;
2. Realizing Community Economic Competitiveness Based on the Agricultural Sector;
3. Realizing Basic Services for the Community in a Proportional and Equitable Manner;
4. Realizing Participatory Government Based on Law Enforcement and Information Technology;
5. Realizing Synergy in Regional Development and Integration of Environmentally Conscious Development.
